Business Unit Leader – General Manager

General Manager: from Tired to Inspired

A general manager approached us to improve his ability to foster leadership and teamwork among employees that had the heart but not the required skill sets to complete the work required. Coming into the role, he did not have the time or the credibility to develop all of the leaders himself. Through our partnership, we were able to offer accountability, a scoreboard and execution driven and culture shift to support the strategy. His team transformed from micromanaged, whipped puppies, to inspired teammates who were willing to take ownership of their results. Now, his division is producing the same revenue with 50% less people and 60% less space.

Business Unit Leader: getting you AND your team ‘out of the box

This business unit leader approached us as his leadership team wasn’t where they needed to be. He was frustrated as he had invested in the people with little reciprocity and ultimately needed to get his team to think creatively outside of the box. We were able to enable him to prioritize and build a structure that showed him which levers to push and what to quickly shed. Now, his unit is able to meet with customers out on the road as he was able to find and develop people that were committed to the company to facilitate operations.
